Outside Magazine Gear of the Year
Twice the smiles today for the Arc'teryx design team – Outside Magazine just announced the winners of its Winter 2013 Gear of the Year awards and we are proud to say that we have been awarded with NOT ONE, BUT TWO of these prestigious titles!
Editors and evaluators once again spent several months testing the latest crop of outdoor products and bestowed the coveted Gear of the Year award onto our new Modon Jacket and Quintic 38 Pack. Sam Moulton, Executive Editor at Outside Magazine , said that it was the fit of the Modon jacket that set it apart from the rest. "It is so remarkably well tailored. Such freedom of movement without bulk and the new N80p-X face fabric is much more abrasion resistant".The Quintic pack was chosen above the rest because of its innovative design and, basically, because it worked, said Moulton. "It won out because the design wasn't just for the sake of it – but because it actually made for a better pack. With its low center of gravity, it skied and climbed nicely".
Both pieces are set to appear in this month's Fall 2012 Buyer's Guide issue, among a host of other Arc'teryx products, including the Alpha SV Jacket, Beta FL Jacket, Venta LT Gloves, and Phase SV Toque.
