Mont Blanc Marathon
On June 30th, the Rhône-Alpes region will once again play host to the Mont Blanc Marathon, the second race in the Skyrunning World Series. Starting from the center of Chamonix, the course covers the usual forty-two kilometers over a 2,511m elevation gain and 1,490m elevation loss.
Team Arc'teryx will be proudly represented by Florian Reichert, Nicola Golinelli, and Didier Zago. Two days prior to the marathon, all three, along with Arc'athlete Tessa Hill, will also take part in the KM Vertical race – "a lung-busting 1,000 metres skywards over the short 3.5 km course". For a rundown of this year's competitors please check out the great preview posts from Skyrunning and Ian Corless.
A few weeks after our Alpine Arc'ademy, we're very much looking forward to being back in Chamonix. It's amazing enough to compete in a marathon, let alone one that's set in one of the most beautiful places on the planet. We'll be posting updates throughout the weekend on Twitter and Instagram.
