As we transition from one season to another, it’s is a great time of the year to give your winter gear a tune-up before putting it away for the summer. You probably already know that we highly recommend cleaning your gear regularly in order to maintain its level of performance and extend its longevity – as we like to say, you take care of your gear and it’ll take care of you.
For washing and drying, the suggested frequency is every ten to twelve days of use for pieces that you wear more frequently, and twenty to thirty days for those being used less often. And if you find that your garment is not shedding water as well as it used to, that’s a good time to reapply the DWR (Durable Water Repellent).
