Climb

Vikki fell in love with climbing as a youngster at the age of nine. Fully hooked by the time she could join the Calgary Climbing Centre youth team, Vikki excelled in competitions, becoming a seven-time Canadian Youth National Champion and a three-time Canadian Open Bouldering Champion. However, once she discovered the joy of the endless limestone in neighbouring Bow Valley, she put plastic on the back burner. By the time she was 15, she was already sending 5.13. Vikki, who is also a registered nurse in North Vancouver, still loves to sport climb with the same vigour and grace as she did as a kid, but now also enjoys the challenge of traditional climbing and the endurance of multi-pitches. When she isn’t climbing, she can be found helping save lives in the emergency room or enjoying the stimulating scenery of her backyard.
