On his first ever day at the cliffs Paul realized he had found his calling. For the last twenty years he has practiced all types of climbing all over the world. It doesn't matter if he's doing trad, sport, blocs, ice, mixed, alpine or aid, Paul just loves getting outside with his friends and going climbing. "New routes are the most rewarding" from scrubbing a crack in Squamish to slogging up a virgin summit on the Patagonian icecap, "the adventure of a first ascent never gets old."
Some of his most memorable climbs include:
Cerro Fitzroy, Canadian Route - First Ascent
Cerro de la Mariposa - First Ascent
Cerro Torre, Ferrari Route
North Howser Tower, Bugaboos, All Along the Watchtower
Central Tower of Paine, Bonnington/Whillans
Mt. Wilson, Canadian Rockies, Rivers of Babylon - First Ascent
Cerro Stanhardt, Exocet
Cerro Piritas North Tower - First Ascent
Aguja Innominata West Ridge - First complete and free Ascent
Mt. Habrich, Coast Mountains, BC - First Vol Descent
These days Paul lives in Squamish BC where he works as a climbing guide and high ropes rigger.
Besides climbing, he loves having a good meal with friends, playing guitar, Paragliding and making sculpture out of used objects.
